JOB BRIEF We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Ocean Freight Pricing & FCL Handling expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding, ocean freight pricing, full container load (FCL) operations and global logistics. This role requires expertise in negotiating with carriers, managing end-to-end FCL shipments and ensuring cost-effective solutions for customers. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Ocean Freight Management To co-ordinate and manage end-to-end FCL shipments across trade lines. To work closely with shipping lines, consolidators and NVOCCs to secure space and rates. To ensure smooth execution of ocean freight, operations, including booking and documentation. Pricing and Rate Negotiation To Develop and maintain competitive pricing strategies for ocean freight services. To negotiate contract rates and carriers and service providers to optimize costs. To analyze market trends and provide pricing insights to sales and procurement teams. To maintain updated rate sheets and tariffs to support internal stakeholders. FCL Handling and documentation To manage load plannings and equipment availability. To oversee accurate Bill of Lading(B/L), shipping instructions and compliance documents. To ensure adherence to Incoterms, custom regulations and global trade policies. To troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges related to containerized shipments. Customer and Stakeholders Co-ordination To address customer inquiries and provide freight solutions based on business needs. To ensure customer satisfaction by meeting deadlines and maintain service levels. KEY REQUIREMENTS To have experience in ocean freight & FCL Handling and pricing. To have dealt with COC (Carrier Owned Container) and SOC (Shipper Owned Container) containers. To have had experience in transportation and clearance charges at ocean freight. To have strong understanding of carrier alliance, shipping regulations and trade lanes. To have the ability to negotiate and secure competitive ocean freight rates. To have familiarity with freight management systems, rate sheets and Incoterms. To be an expertise in B/L processing, custom regulations and ocean freight documentations. To have strong communication skills to liaise with customers, carriers and internal teams. To have the ability to analyze the market trends, freight costs and operational efficiencies. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS To hold a bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Business or a related field.
