Perkant Tech is looking for a hardworking and dynamic R&D Engineer with expertise in medical-grade PCB design to join our fast-growing team. You'll work directly with the Founders' Office and report to the CTO, playing a key role in shaping the next generation of innovative medical devices. Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site role for an R&D Engineer – Electronics & Embedded Systems. The role involves working at the intersection of medical hardware design, embedded systems, and product innovation. You will take ownership of designing, developing, and optimizing PCBA-level circuits and firmware for the company’s next-generation medical systems. Company Description: Perkant Tech Private Limited is an Indian medical device manufacturing startup known for inventing a novel multi-disease prognosis system. With manufacturing facilities in Indore and the Madhya Pradesh Medical Device Park, Perkant Tech aims to improve well-being across India and beyond. Key Responsibilities: Circuit & PCBA Design: Develop schematics and multi-layer PCBs using Altium/KiCad; ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability, EMI/ESD compliance, and medical-grade robustness. Embedded Firmware Development: Write efficient firmware in C/C++ for sensor interfacing, microcontroller operations (AVR, STM32, ESP32, etc.), power management, and communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, BLE). System Integration & Prototyping: Collaborate on board bring-up, prototype testing, and iterative hardware-firmware integration. Perform root cause analysis and resolve system bugs. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain clear documentation of design files, test protocols, and change logs; assist in preparing certification-ready hardware and technical files (e.g., for IEC 60601). Collaborative Engineering: Coordinate with software, clinical, and product teams for synchronized development and user-centric design improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, Embedded Systems, or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in PCB design and embedded firmware development (Freshers with strong portfolios may also apply). Proficient in embedded C/C++, debugging tools, and hardware simulation platforms. Experience with data acquisition from sensors, low-power IoT design, and interfacing wireless modules (Wi-Fi/BLE/GSM).
