Your role and responsibilities As a Software Development Manager, youll manage software development, enhance product experiences, and scale our teams capabilities. Youll manage careers, streamline hiring, collaborate with product, and drive innovation. Mastery of frameworks, deployment tech, and cloud APIs is essential as well as adaptability to innovative technologies. Your primary responsibilities include: . Solution Development: Lead the development of innovative solutions to enhance our product and development experience, effectively contributing to making our software better. . Team Growth and Management: Manage the career growth of team members, scale hiring and development processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. . Strategic Partnership: Partner with product teams to brainstorm ideas and collaborate on delivering an exceptional product, contributing to the overall success of the organization. . Technical Direction: Provide technical guidance by actively participating in architectural discussions, developing code, and advocating for new process improvements to drive innovation and efficiency. Required education Bachelors Degree Preferred education Bachelors Degree Required technical and professional expertise Minimum 13+ years of experience in performance engineering, product development, and managing team. Expertise in public and private cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, OCI). Experience with Cloud Orchestration Platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, Tanzu). Deep understanding of IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible . Exposure to observability frameworks/tools (ELK Stack, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk). Experience in performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, k6 , or similar. Expertise in monitoring and analysis tools like Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, or Datadog . Strong knowledge of distributed systems , cloud reference architectures , and various deployment patterns (network, compute, storage). Knowledge of Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch , and other high-performance technologies. Hands-on experience with Core Cloud Services, microservices, containerization , and multi-region cloud solutions . Proficiency in DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Knowledge of NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, Amazon DynamoDB, CouchDB, Redis). Experience with cloud messaging/streaming brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ . Strong Linux system administration and ability to analyze workloads, debug, and tune performance at the system level. Preferred technical and professional experience Develop and implement strategies to optimize system performance , ensuring scalability and reliability . Work closely with management, product owners, developers, and quality engineers to understand product requirements and business use cases. Design and execute performance, scalability, stress, reliability, availability, and longevity simulations for SaaS and On-prem products .
