Role: As manager commercial, the incumbent will support financial planning, process improvements, and provide strategic insights to senior management while being responsible for financial and administrative functions within our organization. This role demands precision in managing books of accounts, year-end closure, taxation (including GST), statutory compliances, audits, payroll, and HR documentation to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulations. The role will also be required to oversee administrative functions like inventory & assets management, vendor & documentations and overall office administration. Key Responsibilities · Books of Accounts Management: Maintain and oversee the company’s books of accounts with utmost precision, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and updated. · Year-End Closure: Lead and manage the year-end financial closure process, including preparation of financial statements, schedules, and supporting documentation. · Taxation & Compliance: o Ensure strict compliance with all direct and indirect tax regulations, with a strong focus on GST. o Prepare and file GST returns accurately and on time. o Handle statutory compliances, including TDS, TCS, and other relevant tax filings. o Support employees in their tax related queries. o Handle GST & Tax related notices with maximum savings and without damaging the organization’s reputation o Manage tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as required. · Statutory Audits: Coordinate and support statutory, internal, and tax audits, ensuring timely submission of required documents and compliance with audit requirements. · Payroll Management: Oversee and process payroll, ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursement, statutory deductions, and payroll reporting. · HR Documentation: Maintain and manage HR records, including employee contracts, attendance, leave, and other relevant documentation to ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies. · Administration: Supervise administrative functions, including office management, vendor contracts, and coordination with other departments. · Financial Reporting: Prepare and present periodic financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. · Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting, taxation, payroll, and compliance functions to enhance efficiency and accuracy. · Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure seamless financial, administrative, and compliance operations. · Advisory: Provide guidance and support to management on commercial, taxation, payroll, and compliance matters. Education & Qualifications Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required). Certification: Professional certification such as CA, CMA, or CPA is highly desirable. Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in commercial accounting, taxation, GST compliance statutory compliance and payroll preferably within service industry. Competencies & Skills Technical Skills: Strong expertise in accounting principles, taxation (especially GST), statutory compliance and payroll. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally), payroll software, and MS Office, particularly Excel. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams, auditors, and authorities. Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor junior team members. Adaptability: Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Integrity: High ethical standards and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality. Additional Requirements Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with event management or related service industries is an advantage.
