The 2nd Officer will be responsible for navigation and watchkeeping duties, ensuring the safety and security of the vessel and crew. Additional tasks include maintaining navigational equipment, assisting with cargo operations, and ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations. The role also involves collaborating with the crew to promote safe and efficient vessel operations. Qualifications Navigation skills, including voyage planning and chart management Competency in watchkeeping and maintaining vessel safety Knowledge of maritime regulations and compliance standards Experience with cargo handling and vessel operations Strong leadership and communication skills Valid 2nd Officer certificate of competency and relevant endorsements Proficiency in the use of electronic navigational systems Previous experience in a similar role, ideally 12+ months
