Pega (CSA / CSSA) Senior Software Engineer, Platform Engineering

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Platform Engineering team at Pegasystems, you will be part of a high-performing engineering team that is pioneering the future of low-code and AI-powered development. Your role will involve designing, developing, and deploying applications using leading low-code platforms, integrating Generative AI capabilities, and building reusable components and AI-powered workflows. You will collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions and participate in architecture discussions to shape the technical direction of the platform. Additionally, you will continuously evaluate new GenAI and low-code trends to bring innovative ideas into development cycles. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and deploy applications using leading low-code platforms. - Integrate Generative AI capabilities to enable smart automation, application generation, and enhanced user experiences. - Build reusable components, templates, and AI-powered workflows that can be scaled across projects. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, performant solutions. - Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to shaping the technical direction of the platform. - Stay updated with the latest advancements in GenAI and machine learning concepts. - Implement design patterns to support the Pega platform evolution, particularly in the context of GenAI. - Continuously learn and explore new tools and technologies to improve the Pega platform. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with hands-on work in low-code development. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Pega 8.x Certified CSA and CSSA. - Strong coding, problem-solving, debugging, and design skills. - Experience with prompt engineering and LLMs, NLP, and related GenAI technologies. - Familiarity with UI technologies like React, CSS, and JavaScript. - Ability to apply analytical and investigative skills to resolve customer issues. - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment.
