Pediatrician

Job Description:

• MD / DNB in Pediatrics (recognized by Medical Council / KMC).
• License/Registration: Valid registration with KMC
• Experience: 0–3 years of post-qualification experience in pediatrics (hospital or clinic setting preferred).

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine and evaluate the health and development of newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.
• Diagnose and treat illnesses, infections, injuries, and other medical conditions in children.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and other treatments appropriate to pediatric patients.
• Provide preventive health services including immunizations, routine check-ups, and growth monitoring.
• Counsel parents and caregivers on nutrition, hygiene, safety, and disease prevention.
• Manage neonatal and pediatric emergencies effectively.
• Coordinate care with nurses, pediatric specialists, and allied health professionals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
• Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control, and ethical medical practices.
• Participate in health education programs, child wellness initiatives, and medical camps.
• Supervise junior doctors, interns, and nursing staff in pediatric care as needed.
• Stay updated with advancements in pediatric medicine, vaccines, and treatment guidelines.
