PC Video Game - Performance Testing

As a PC Game Tester at Snapdragon Studios, your main responsibility will be to execute test plans in order to ensure the best gaming experience on Windows on Arm Snapdragon platforms. Your role will involve testing PC games, being familiar with various game storefronts, and delving deeper into performance issues to report them clearly and concisely. This position offers a unique opportunity to triage and investigate Windows application failures on Snapdragon Windows devices. Key Responsibilities: - Execute test plans to ensure optimal gaming experience on Windows on Arm Snapdragon platforms - Test PC games and report issues encountered - Investigate and report performance issues - Triaging Windows application failures on Snapdragon Windows devices - Collaborate with highly creative teams of veteran game developers, artists, and graphics enthusiasts Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, OR Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, OR PhD with 2+ years of experience - 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. - Experience testing video games for 3-5 years - Technical understanding of game technologies, quality settings, and performance - Ability to find, reproduce, and clearly report issues - Excellent ability to infer and recognize patterns - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Self-motivated Preferred Qualifications: - Experience using Windows debugging software stack (WinDBG, EventViewer, etc.) - Experience with test automation and reporting tools/scripts - Performance reporting via tools such as FRAPS, WPR, PresentMon, etc. Please note that Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing accessible processes for individuals with disabilities.
