Role Overview: As a Software Engineer / Sr. Software Engineer in the Technology Consulting team at EY, you'll have the opportunity to work on various Guidewire engagements for customers across the globe. You will be a valuable team member contributing to different technical streams of Guidewire projects. Your role will involve interfacing and communicating with onsite coordinators, completing assigned tasks on time, and providing regular status reports to the lead. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute as a team member in various technical streams of Guidewire engagements - Interface and communicate effectively with onsite coordinators - Complete assigned tasks on time and report status regularly to the lead Qualifications Required: - BE/BTech/MCA degree with 1.5 to 3 years of industry experience - Demonstrable knowledge and experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter/BillingCenter Configuration and Integration - Experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain - Demonstrable knowledge and experience in either Personal Lines products (e.g., Personal Auto, Property, Homeowners, Personal Umbrella) or Commercial Lines products (e.g., Commercial Auto, Commercial Property, Workers Compensation) - Proficiency in Java 5, JEE, XML, Web Services (Axis 2), SQL, ANT - Strong skills in Pl/SQL, Spring, Hibernate, Castor, any Enterprise Messaging System - Strong knowledge and experience in Tomcat and/or Websphere/Weblogic - Real-time knowledge and experience in enterprise system integration, preferably in the Insurance domain - Understanding and experience of software development best practices - Excellent business communication skills - Prior experience in client-facing roles Please note that EY aims to build a better working world by creating long-term value for clients, people, and society, and by building trust in the capital markets.
