PC Banking Analyst

As a PC Banking Analyst at Barclays, you will play a pivotal role in working with the Line PC team to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the books and records, including P&L and Balance Sheet substantiation and reporting. You will monitor trading activity for compliance with policies and provide technical and operational analysis to management. Collaboration with Front Office business, Financial Control, Technical Accounting Group, PC Change Management, Technology, and other infrastructure areas will be a key aspect of your role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Reconcile daily profit and loss figures for trading desks to ensure alignment with valued positions in the trading book. - Identify, assess, and mitigate trading risks, reporting to senior colleagues. - Maintain and analyze trading data for accuracy and completeness, providing insights to traders and senior colleagues. - Prepare and submit regulatory reports, support external audits, and ensure trading activities are accurately reflected in financial statements. - Effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders. - Collaborate across functions to ensure a coordinated approach to trading activities. **Qualifications Required:** - Experienced with MS Office toolkit. - Qualified accountant. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Strong control awareness with the ability to identify and escalate potential control breakdowns. - Financial engineering experience would be advantageous. - Article ship or industrial trainee experience in mid to large-sized firms. - Audit exposure in large financial institutions or banks preferred.
