Job Title: Assistant Manager HR Payroll Location: Mumbai, Andheri Mahakali (Paper Box) Experience: 7-15 years Annual Salary Range: 8-9 LPA Job Type: In-office Job Description: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced HR Payroll Assistant Manager to oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll processing for a large workforce of 600+ employees. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely processing of salaries, bonuses, and other statutory benefits, while complying with relevant labor laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll processing cycle for a large number of employees (600+). Ensure timely and accurate calculation and disbursement of salaries, bonuses, provident fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESIC), gratuity, and other statutory benefits. Coordinate with different departments to gather and verify data for payroll processing. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, TDS, and other labor laws. Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring compliance with all internal policies and government regulations. Work closely with the Finance and Accounts teams to reconcile payroll data with financial systems. Manage and resolve payroll-related queries from employees and other stakeholders. Generate and maintain reports related to payroll and statutory compliance for internal audits and external statutory inspections. Stay updated on changes in labor laws, tax laws, and other relevant regulations to ensure ongoing compliance. Implement best practices in payroll processing to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Handle any other ad-hoc tasks related to HR and payroll processing. Key Skills & Competencies: Proven experience in payroll processing, specifically Indian payroll, for a large workforce (600+ employees). Strong knowledge of statutory compliances including Provident Fund (PF), ESIC, Gratuity, Bonus, TDS, and other labor laws. Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Spine, etc.) and advanced Excel skills. Excellent understanding of payroll-related taxation and statutory deductions. Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, or a related field. 7-15 years of relevant experience in HR payroll management, specifically in Indian payroll processing. In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance.
