Payroll Analyst

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Analyst with strong expertise in India Payroll Operations, taxation and statutory compliance. The candidate should have hands-on experience managing payroll processes for a large employee population (3000+ employees), along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support India payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Handle payroll taxation, including income tax calculations, TDS, tax declarations and related compliance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements such as PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and other payroll regulations.
• Analyze payroll data, identify discrepancies and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
• Prepare business requirement documents, process documentation and system change specifications.
• Develop and execute test plans for payroll system enhancements and changes.
• Work closely with HR, Payroll and technical teams to resolve system and process-related issues.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in India Payroll Operations.
• Mandatory hands-on knowledge of India Payroll Taxation and statutory compliances.
• Experience handling payroll for a large employee base of 3000+ employees.
• Strong understanding of income tax, TDS, PF, ESIC and Professional Tax.
• Excellent MS Excel and data analysis skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Working knowledge of Workday or other HRMS/payroll systems will be an added advantage.
