Job Summary: The Payment Poster plays a critical role in the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process by ensuring accurate and timely posting of payments and adjustments to patient accounts. This position involves reviewing and applying payments from various sources, including insurance companies and patients, to the appropriate accounts. The Payment Poster will also be responsible for reconciling payments, identifying discrepancies, and working closely with other departments to ensure proper billing and payment records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately post insurance payments, patient payments, and adjustments to the correct patient accounts.
• Review and verify remittance advice and EOB (Explanation of Benefits) statements to ensure payments are correctly posted.
• Reconcile payment discrepancies and communicate with the appropriate parties (insurers, patients, or internal departments) to resolve issues.
• Ensure that all payment and adjustment transactions are accurately recorded in the system.
• Maintain accurate records of payment posting activities for internal and external audits.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of payment information to internal systems or external partners.

Required skill set -

• Any graduate with minimum of 1 year of experience in payment posting, medical billing, or in a related field within the RCM industry.
• Experience with healthcare billing software and electronic remittance advice (ERA) is preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance payment processing and healthcare revenue cycle operations.
• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT codes, and insurance terminology.

Work Environment:

• Office-based (WFO)
• Full-time position; typical business hours, with occasional overtime during high-volume periods.
