Objective of the Role: To manage and oversee the end-to-end production of innerwear, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and efficient utilization of resources. The role involves supervising production operations, coordinating with vendors, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Planning & Execution: Assist in planning and scheduling production to meet demand and delivery timelines. Monitor daily production activities to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to schedules. Coordinate with procurement and sourcing teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and trims. Optimize production processes for efficiency, cost control, and waste reduction. 2. Quality Management: Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications before dispatch. Implement quality checks and monitor production lines for compliance with standards. Work with the quality assurance team to resolve production-related quality issues. 3. Team Management & Coordination: Supervise and guide production staff, including machine operators and line workers. Provide training to production staff on processes, safety, and quality standards. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. 4. Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and vendors for timely supply of fabrics, trims, and accessories. Monitor vendor performance to ensure quality and delivery compliance. 5. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain production records, daily reports, and performance metrics. Provide regular updates to Production Manager regarding production status, challenges, and suggestions for improvement. Assist in cost monitoring and production budget management. 6. Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization, efficiency improvement, and cost reduction. Implement best practices for production planning, quality control, and resource management. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of innerwear manufacturing processes, fabrics, and trims. Understanding of production planning, workflow management, and quality control. Leadership and team management skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities. Proficient in production software or MS Office. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Experience & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Textile, Fashion Technology related field. 3–5 years of experience in production, preferably in innerwear or apparel manufacturing. Prior experience in supervising production teams and managing workflow preferred.
Assisting in Sourcing and Procurement: Support senior executives in identifying and evaluating potential fabric suppliers. Assist in sourcing fabrics according to the design team's requirements. Help negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers under the guidance of senior team members. Inventory Support Monitor fabric inventory levels and update records to ensure accuracy. Assist in coordinating with the warehouse team for the receipt and storage of fabrics. Supplier Coordination: Help maintain relationships with existing suppliers and develop rapport with new suppliers. Assist in evaluating supplier performance and addressing any quality or delivery issues. Quality Assurance Assistance: Work with the quality control team to check samples and ensure that all fabrics meet the required standards. Report any quality issues to senior team members and assist in resolving them. Administrative Support: Maintain and update purchase orders, contracts, and related documentation. Prepare basic reports on purchasing activities and inventory status for review by senior executives. Market Research: Conduct research on market trends, fabric prices, and new suppliers to support purchasing decisions. Stay updated on new fabrics and textile innovations.
