A Pre-Primary School Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children aged 3–6 years. The teacher facilitates age-appropriate learning through play-based activities, helps children develop essential social, emotional, cognitive, and motor skills, and works closely with parents and staff to support each child’s development. Key Responsibilities Classroom Management & Instruction Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities. Use play-based and interactive teaching methods to support early learning. Introduce basic concepts in literacy, numeracy, general knowledge, and creative arts. Encourage curiosity, exploration, and independent thinking. Child Development & Care Observe and monitor children’s growth, behavior, and learning progress. Support children in developing language, social, emotional, and motor skills. Assist children with basic needs (snack time, hygiene, routines) while fostering independence. Establish routines that promote a sense of security and structure. Classroom Environment Create a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment. Set up learning centers (art, reading, blocks, sensory play, etc.). Ensure safety protocols and child-protection standards are followed at all times. Communication & Collaboration Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and concerns. Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with co-teachers, support staff, and school administrators. Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events. Required Qualifications & Skills Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Nursery Teacher Training (NTT), Montessori or equivalent. Experience working with young children (preferred). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, creativity, empathy, and a passion for early childhood education.
