Deputy General Manager- Quality & Compliance
To lead and manage the Quality & Compliance function by ensuring robust Quality Assurance systems, regulatory and customer compliance, product quality standards, continuous improvement, and support for New Product Development (NPD). This role ensures that quality processes are proactive, standardized, and aligned with business and customer expectations while driving a culture of excellence and accountability Responsibilities 1. Quality Management Systems (QMS) Ensure the implementation and continual improvement of ISO, IMS, and GMP systems across the organization. Lead internal and external audits (customer, regulatory, certification). Oversee documentation and compliance related to QMS and CAPA systems. 2. Quality Control (QC) Supervise the QC Manager and team to ensure systematic inspection at Incoming, In-process, and FG stages. Analyze quality trends and drive preventive and corrective actions. Develop and maintain quality inspection standards, sampling plans, and test protocols. 3. Compliance Ensure compliance with all applicable national and international regulations related to product safety, customer requirements, and industry certifications. Maintain and update regulatory documentation as per customer or legal requirements. 4. New Product Development (NPD) Represent the Quality function in Stage-Gate NPD processes. Define quality criteria, critical parameters, and inspection protocols for new products. Collaborate with R&D, Production, and Customer Service to ensure first-time-right launches. 5. Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement Provide guidance to the Manager – Process Excellence & LEAN to drive CI projects using Six Sigma, and root cause analysis tools. Promote cross-functional Kaizen participation to improve product quality and process efficiency. Align improvement initiatives with customer feedback and internal KPIs. 6. Leadership & Team Development Build capability and engagement in the Quality team through training, coaching, and development plans. Ensure alignment and collaboration with Production, Maintenance, and Planning teams for shared quality and process improvement goals. Qualifications Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Packaging/ Engineering More than 15 years experience in QA/QC leadership. Experience in managing regulatory compliance as per country/ customer needs and leading compliance audits. Experience in leading IMS/GMP audits, managing product certifications such as BIS, managing NABL accredited lab Leading NPD experience.
