Role & responsibilities Job Title : Telecommunication Engineer Location: Faridabad Job Type : Full-time Experience : Minimum 3 years No. of Position: 4 Job Purpose : We are looking for a Telecom Engineer with specialized experience in fibre optic communication systems to design, develop, and integrate ground-to-drone and drone-to-drone communication links. The candidate will be responsible for the integration and optimization of fibre-optic systems on tethered and hybrid drones, enabling high-throughput, interference-free data transmission. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement Fiber optic communication systems for tethered drone platforms. Evaluate and integrate optical transceivers, signal converters, and optical splitters. Work on both single-mode and multi-mode Fiber designs depending on mission profiles. Integrate Fiber-optic modules with onboard flight systems, payloads (e.g., high-res cameras), and ground control stations. Conduct transmission range, signal integrity, and latency tests. Collaborate with the avionics and mechanical teams for optimized layout and installation. Develop communication interfaces for tethered drones using optical fibre for power and data transfer. Work with hybrid systems using both fibre and RF communication channels for redundancy. Conduct loss analysis, OTDR testing, and real-time diagnostics. Ensure low-latency and EMI-immune data channels during field deployments. Ensure compliance with industry telecom and defence communication standards. Maintain documentation for cabling architecture, integration SOPs, and test reports. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors / Masters degree in Telecommunications, Electronics & Communication, or related field. 3+ years of experience in Fiber optic communication systems design and integration. Proficiency in optical Fiber components: transceivers, patch panels, multiplexers, WDMs, etc. Experience with installation and testing tools: OTDR, power meter, fusion splicer. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and collaboration across interdisciplinary teams. Adaptability and innovation in high-pressure project environments.
