About the Project: The Rural Crèche Initiative (RCI), aims to provide safe and nurturing day-care centres (Laika Ghar) for children aged 7 months to 3 years in remote tribal areas. These crèches focus on early childhood care, nutrition, and access to health and government entitlements. The initiative is community-driven to ensure last-mile delivery for the most vulnerable children. The major objective of creche initiative are as following: a) To enable access to crèches by all children between 7 months and 3 years in a selected geography. b) To ensure supplementary feeding, early childhood development, and facilitation of access to government entitlements. c) To identify growth faltering, underweight, and wasted children (7 months to 3 years), refer them to a health facility and follow up. Position: Cluster Coordinator Location: Dharamjaigarh Block, Raigarh District, Chhattisgarh Salary: ₹35,000 per month Eligibility Criteria: i) Must be in the age group 30–45 years. ii) Master’s degree in Social Work/Social Studies. iii) Minimum 3–4 years of experience of leading a team on nutrition/health/sanitation-related programmes at block/district level. iv) Must be willing to serve the community with work experience in community-based programmes, preferably in health and nutrition. v) Experience of planning and executing district to village-level operations with government/donor/NGO-supported programmes with minimum supervision. vi) Experience of coordinating with district administration, CSOs, and active participation in district-level committees and forums. vii) Ability to engage with stakeholders at the district level to manage, report, and address project issues. viii) Experience of using online MIS Systems and analytics. ix) Knowledge of accounts, bookkeeping, and MS Office. x) Good communication skills in Odia/local tribal dialects preferred. Roles and Responsibilities: i) Provide supportive supervision to crèche supervisors and workers. ii) Undertake crèche monitoring visits every month. iii) Track children who are ill, wasted, or faltering in growth. iv) Track and escalate unresolved issues. v) Support anthropometry and calibration. vi) Conduct training needs assessments and refresher trainings. vii) Coordinate with block/district stakeholders and ensure access to entitlements. viii) Ensure compliance with safety, grievance redressal and child protection norms. ix) Approve ration requisitions and monitor logistics. x) Conduct review meetings and prepare reports as required. Additional Requirements: Must own a bike/two-wheeler for extensive field visits. Willing to be based full-time in Dharamjaigarh block. Preference to local candidates from Chhattisgarh.
