Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Team Lead - Electrical - BIM MEP based in Chennai, with some work from home acceptable. The Team Lead will oversee electrical design and coordinate BIM MEP projects, ensuring all electrical engineering aspects are integrated seamlessly. Day-to-day tasks include managing project timelines, troubleshooting issues, maintaining power systems, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Qualifications Experience in Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering Knowledge of Electricity and Power Systems Skills in Troubleshooting electrical issues Strong leadership and project management skills Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities Proficiency in BIM MEP software is preferred Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Previous experience in the AEC industry is a plus
Working on extended basic or detailed engineering Should be able to read & understand basic engineering package, technical specifications received from end user. preparation & review of process engineering documents like equipment sizing calculations, process calculations, mass balance, process equipment datasheets, IPDS etc. Preparation of PFD, P&IDs. Providing design inputs to drafting. Preparation & review of hydraulic calculations, line sizing calculations, PSV Sizing calculations, Pump selection. Preparation & review of Control philosophy, interlock descriptions, Cause & effect diagrams, Utility List, Chemical consumption list. Preparation & review of line list, valve list, instrument list etc. Performing design activities assigned by Principal Engineer / HOD Coordination with other disciplines like mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and piping. Attending HAZOP reviews. Review design documents / drawings prepared by the design team Accountable for successful completion of assigned engineering tasks Possess good knowledge of basic chemical engineering fundamentals like drying, evaporation, heat transfer, mass transfer, distillation etc. Exposure to intelligent P&IDs is an added advantage. Candidate requirements & Key Skillset B.Tech / M.Tech in Chemical engineering from reputed university and 10-15 Years Experience in Process Design and Engineering.
Should be able for modeling of complex structure, technological structure, pipe rack, skid, F&B structure, industrial project. Oil & gas project Should be able for modelling of main steel and miscellaneous steel Should be able for detailing of any type of assembly and Single part, multi drawings. Should be able to read input design drawings, structural drawing, architectural drawing Should be able to edit fabrication and erection drawings. Good communication skills are mandatory. Should be able for working with multidisciplinary project Drafting and detailing complex drawings, connections and 3D models with a good analysis of fabrication and erection issue according to customer requirements and standard practices based on contract documents. Should be able to prepare final package for client including NC FILE, DXF FILE, reports and BOM. Should have basic knowledge of auto cad Should have worked in the steel structural industry. Should be able to create RFI Should be able to Create custom component Candidate requirements: Software proficiency: Tekla Expertise in matric project Experience level: 3 or 4 yeas experience in Tekla modelling & detailing Diploma/BE /BTech in Civil/Mechanical Engineering. Experience in industry specific projects and detailing and dealing with clients across the UK and Indian standard. Ability to understand, analyse and interpret technical procedures, drawings and specifications Good English communication skills
