Electrical Engineer BIM Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer – BIM with 4+ years of experience to support the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for electrical systems in design and construction projects. The ideal candidate will specialize in power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems, ensuring technical accuracy and efficient project coordination. Experience with US-based projects is advantageous but not mandatory. Key Responsibilities BIM Modeling & Design: Develop and maintain 3D electrical models using BIM software (Revit MEP, AutoCAD Electrical, Navisworks) for power, lighting, and low-voltage systems. Coordination: Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to integrate electrical systems into a unified BIM model. Quality Assurance: Assist in model audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with project standards. Clash Detection: Support clash detection and resolution for electrical systems using Navisworks or similar tools. Documentation: Prepare and manage electrical documentation, including construction drawings, schematics, and panel schedules. Workflow Support: Contribute to optimizing BIM processes for electrical design and construction efficiency. Technical Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to electrical codes (NEC, IEEE, IEC) and industry best practices. Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines. Learning & Development: Stay updated on emerging BIM technologies and tools to enhance project outcomes. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 4+ years of hands-on experience in BIM modeling for electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, conduits, etc.). Experience with US projects is a plus but not required. Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD Electrical, and Navisworks; familiarity with BIM 360 is beneficial. Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction documentation, and equipment detailing. Problem-solving skills to address design and coordination challenges. Good communication skills for teamwork and project coordination. Attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments. Knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, IEEE, IEC) is preferred.
