Palliative Care Nurse

As a Palliative Care Nurse at The Jimmy S Bilimoria Foundation (Palcare) in Mumbai, you will be an integral part of a medical palliative care team, working alongside one doctor, two nurses, and one psycho-social counsellor. Your primary responsibility will involve visiting patients at their homes to deliver compassionate and expert nursing care. Under the guidance of the team doctor, you will focus on relieving pain, managing symptoms, and ensuring that patients experience quality of life and dignity in their final days. To minimize travel time, you will be assigned a specific zone near your residence. This full-time position from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm allows you to have your evenings free. The ideal candidate for this role should hold a GNM (General Nurse Midwifery) diploma or a BSc degree in Nursing from a recognized institution in India. While a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting is preferred, freshers who are enthusiastic about palliative care and pain management will also be considered. Reporting to the Senior Nurse at PALCARE, you should possess strong nursing skills, demonstrate compassion towards patients and their families, and exhibit effective communication abilities in English, Hindi, and Marathi. Your dedication, willingness to undergo specialized training and refresher courses, and commitment to the organization for a minimum of 2 years are essential qualities we seek in our team members.
