The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of West Bengal land laws, property documentation, and corporate legal processes, and will be comfortable coordinating with government departments, local authorities, and legal advisors. Job Description — Horticulture Supervisor Location: Pahargoomiah Tea Estate, Terai Reporting to: Estate Manager Compensation: ₹20000–₹25000/month (depending on profile) + estate housing Employment: Full-time Mission Set up and run a large, commercial nursery within the estate—covering propagation, production, sales pipeline, and staff training. Key Responsibilities Nursery Setup & Infrastructure ◦ Design layout: mother blocks, shade-net houses, polyhouse, hardening zones, composting/vermi, pot yard, irrigation & drainage. ◦ Specify BoQ for pumps, foggers/misters, trays, media, benches, pots, tags, tools. Propagation & Production ◦ Build mother stock; cutting, layering, grafting, seed sowing schedules. ◦ Seasonal plans for ornamentals (bougainvillea, adenium, areca, ficus, palms), fruit & timber, avenue trees, tea-estate landscaping plants. ◦ Define soil/media recipes; rooting hormones; potting/up-potting cycles; hardening protocols. Option B (Formal horticulturist): Diploma/B.Sc. (Horticulture/Floriculture/Botany) with 5–8 yrs in commercial nurseries; able to build systems/MIS. Strong team handling, basic record-keeping, and cost control. Willing to relocate to estate.
