As a Senior Estimation Engineer at Forms+Surfaces located in Suzlon One Earth, Hadapsar, Pune, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with estimators, project managers, architects, and engineers to understand project scope and requirements. Your responsibilities will include reviewing architectural drawings and specifications to ensure comprehensive coverage, preparing detailed material take-offs, BOM, quotations, sales orders, and contract documents, and identifying potential risks while estimating and managing change orders. Additionally, you will be tasked with mentoring and training junior estimators, staying updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in estimation techniques and tools. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Interior, or Industrial Design, along with a minimum of 5-6 years of hands-on experience in estimating architectural interior and outdoor products. You must possess at least 4+ years of direct experience in estimation, with exposure to working/coordinating with international clients for a minimum of 2+ years. Experience in leading a team of estimators, proficiency in ERP or similar tools, and a good understanding of architectural products and materials are essential. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks, alongside familiarity with take-off tools like Plan Swift and Bluebeam, will be advantageous for this role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to read project specifications, drawings, and technical documents are also required. Furthermore, your role will involve working closely with sales and engineering teams to prepare estimates and bids for clients. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to effectively liaise with the USA team. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, problem-solving abilities, and decision-making skills are key attributes for success in this position.
