An OT Technician plays a vital role in supporting surgical teams by preparing the operating theatre, ensuring instrument sterilization, maintaining sterile fields, assisting the surgeon during procedures, and adhering to strict safety protocols.
Prepare OT rooms for surgical procedures, including arranging instruments, equipment, and supplies
Assist with autoclaving and sterilization of surgical tools
Maintain sterile conditions according to infection control standards
Hand instruments and materials to surgeons and nurses during operations
Monitor and restock OT supplies
Clean and disinfect equipment and operating rooms post-procedure
Ensure patient safety and maintain accurate documentation
