OT Incharge (GNM/B.Sc Nursing, 10 - 12 years Experience)

1. Operational & Clinical Management

• Oversee day-to-day functioning of operating theatres.
• Ensure availability and preparedness of OT before each surgical procedure.
• Monitor compliance with aseptic and sterile techniques.
• Supervise pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care.
• Coordinate with surgeons and anesthetists for scheduling and workflow.

2. Staff Supervision & Leadership

• Lead, supervise, and mentor OT nursing staff and support personnel.
• Prepare duty rosters, manage attendance, and ensure adequate staffing.
• Conduct training on OT protocols, infection control, and emergency procedures.
• Evaluate staff performance and identify training needs.

3. Inventory & Resource Management

• Ensure availability and maintenance of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Oversee sterilization processes (CSSD coordination).
• Maintain accurate inventory and submit requisitions as needed.
• Monitor OT equipment functionality and coordinate repairs.

4. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, NABH/QCI standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement infection control practices and conduct audits.
• Maintain accurate documentation of OT activities, registers, and incident reports.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

5. Patient Safety & Workflow Coordination

• Ensure safe patient movement and positioning within OT.
• Verify consent, identification, and safety checklists (WHO Surgical Safety Checklist).
• Coordinate with wards, ICUs, and emergency departments for patient flow.
• Respond to emergencies and critical situations efficiently.

6. Administrative Responsibilities

• Manage OT scheduling and resolve conflicts or delays.
• Maintain records of surgical cases, consumables, and utilization statistics.
• Conduct regular meetings with OT staff and report to nursing administration.
• Assist in budgeting for the OT department.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
