About the job We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile IP Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team to support a U.S.-based enterprise client . This role is ideal for professionals with deep experience in enterprise networking, cloud infrastructure (Azure), wireless technologies (Wi-Fi 6/6E), and virtualization (VMware). Network Design & Architecture Design and implement IP networking solutions . Architect scalable and secure hybrid cloud environments (Azure), including S2S VPNs, Virtual WAN, and Hub-and-Spoke models. Design and implement Wi-Fi 6E wireless solutions meeting enterprise standards for coverage, performance, and density. Build switching architectures with multigigabit access, 10/25 Gbps uplinks, and high-throughput MDF-to-core links. 2. Cloud & Virtualization Deploy and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure: VMs, VNets, Azure Firewall, and NSGs. Automate infrastructure tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform. Administer VMware vSphere environments including vCenter, ESXi, DRS, HA, and NSX. Manage VMware Horizon VDI environments and backup solutions (e.g., Veeam). 3. Wireless & Access Layer Engineering Lead the staging, configuration, and deployment of Cisco/Aruba access switches and Wi-Fi 6E APs. Implement VLAN, QoS, and security policies using Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass. Optimize SSID strategy and NAC integration for secure user/device access. Support VoIP/UC systems such as Cisco CUCM and Microsoft Teams Voice. 4. Monitoring, Security & Optimization Monitor and manage infrastructure via Cisco DNA Center, Aruba Central, or SolarWinds. Configure and maintain firewalls— hands-on experience with SonicWall is required . Ensure secure network operation using IDS/IPS, encryption, and access control policies. Conduct proactive troubleshooting and root cause analysis across network, cloud, and virtual layers. 5. Collaboration & Documentation Liaise with internal IT, security, and vendor teams for successful project execution. Provide comprehensive documentation, knowledge transfer, and mentorship to junior staff. Collaborate on large-scale integrations including Verizon systems and macro-level deployments. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience). Certifications: CCIE (Routing & Switching) – Mandatory CCNP Enterprise – Required VMware Certifications (VCP-DCV, VCIX, or VCDX) – Preferred Azure Certifications (AZ-104, AZ-700, AZ-305) – Preferred SonicWall SNSP or equivalent – a plus Technical Skills 7+ years of experience in enterprise networking and infrastructure engineering. Proven hands-on experience with: Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and SonicWall network platforms Microsoft Azure (VNets, VPNs, Firewalls) VMware (vSphere, NSX, Horizon, vMotion) Wi-Fi 6/6E deployment (Cisco, Aruba), site surveys (Ekahau) Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series, multigig PoE++ switches Network access control (Cisco ISE, ClearPass) Automation (PowerShell, Terraform, Python) VoIP/UC systems and QoS configurations Strong knowledge of SDN, micro-segmentation, VLANs, SGTs, ACLs Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
