Role & responsibilities 1. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules for mixers, mills, extruders, calendars, presses, and belt-building machines. 2. Breakdown & Corrective Maintenance Attend mechanical breakdowns on equipment like Banbury mixer, Calendaring line, Press curing machines, Batch-off units, and Conveyors. Diagnose faults related to gearboxes, chains, belts, couplings, and rollers. Implement corrective actions to minimize machine downtime and prevent recurrence. 3. Utility & Support Equipment Maintenance Maintain boilers, cooling towers, chilled water systems, air compressors, and dust extraction units. Ensure continuous supply of utilities like water, air, and steam for smooth production. 4. Spare Parts & Inventory Management Identify critical mechanical spares: bearings, rollers, gearboxes, motors, couplings, pumps, etc. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with stores and purchase for timely replenishment. Maintain machine-wise spare consumption and history. 5. Safety & Compliance Ensure all machines comply with safety standards including guarding, interlocks, and safe operating parameters. Conduct risk assessments for mechanical work around mixers, presses, and calendars. Ensure compliance with ISO9001:2015 and factory-specific safety guidelines. 6. Documentation & Reporting Maintain shift maintenance logs, PM checklists, breakdown analysis reports. Update equipment history and downtime reports. Support audits through proper documentation. 7. Continuous Improvement Implement Kaizen, 5S, and waste-reduction initiatives in maintenance areas. Preferred candidate profile 1. Candidate from Polymer/Rubber/Plastic Industry 2. Good knowledge of SAP
