Full-Stack Developer – EdTech Admissions Platform About the Project: We’re seeking a full-stack developer (2+ years experience) to architect and build OrbitAI — an EdTech admissions platform — from the ground up. Role Overview: We're looking for a full-stack developer who can design, develop, and deploy a scalable web application from scratch. You will work closely with the founder to translate user workflows into clean UI and robust backend logic, including a school recommender engine and dynamic scoring system. Responsibilities: Build responsive frontend using React.js, Next.js (or similar modern JS framework). Design backend services (Node.js/Express or Flask) to handle user input, scoring engine, and data APIs. Create and manage the application database (PostgreSQL preferred). Implement secure user authentication and profile management. Integrate the admission chance algorithm (we'll provide logic/weights). Deploy and maintain the app on cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Vercel/etc). Optimize for performance, scalability, and SEO (basic). Requirements: 2+ years of full-stack web development experience. Strong proficiency in React.js and modern JavaScript. Experience with backend frameworks (Express, Flask, or Django). Proficient in SQL and relational database design (PostgreSQL or MySQL). Experience with REST API development and third-party API integrations. Comfortable with Git and collaborative development workflows. Strong attention to detail and UI/UX principles. Nice-to-Haves: Experience with education, analytics, or recommender systems. Familiarity AI Agentic Systems Ability to suggest architectural decisions and performance optimizations.
