Job Description

Role Overview: As an Oracle SQL / PL/SQL Developer, your role involves developing, enhancing, and maintaining Oracle SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers. You will work on L3 Development with real-time problem-solving, including debugging, performance tuning, and root cause analysis. In addition, you will optimize SQL queries for large datasets, implement bulk processing for high volumes of data, and design and maintain database objects. Collaboration with Dev, QA, and Business teams for requirement gathering, triaging, and defect resolution is also a key aspect of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers - Work on L3 Development with real-time problem-solving, including debugging, performance tuning, and root cause analysis - Optimize SQL queries for large datasets to improve application performance - Implement bulk processing using BULK COLLECT, FORALL, and collections for handling high volumes of data - Design and maintain database objects such as tables, views, indexes, constraints, and partitions - Collaborate with Dev, QA, and Business teams for requirement gathering, triaging, and defect resolution - Implement error handling, exception handling, logging, and debugging strategies - Support data migration, transformation, and integration workflows - Work with tools like GIT, JIRA, Jenkins, AutoSys for version control and deployment - Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies Qualifications Required: - 3-6 years of experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development - Strong knowledge of SQL optimization techniques including indexes, hints, explain plan, and statistics - Hands-on experience with PL/SQL programming constructs such as procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and cursors - Experience in performance tuning, debugging, and production incident support - Strong knowledge of SDLC & Agile practices - Experience working with large datasets in OLTP / OLAP environments - Good understanding of database design and normalization - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Exposure to XML, JSON handling in Oracle will be an added advantage - Good communication skills for interaction with cross-functional teams Additional Details: - Skills required: PL/SQL, Oracle queries, Performance Tuning - Nice to have skills: Knowledge of Oracle Advanced Features, Oracle XML DB / JSON functions, Exposure to AWS RDS / Cloud Databases, Experience using unit testing frameworks,
