About the Role

Oracle OTM (Oracle Transportation Management) Consultant

Key Responsibilities

OTM Functional/Technical Expertise

• Lead end-to-end OTM implementation projects including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  
• Configure OTM modules such as:
  
• Order Management
  
• Shipment Planning & Execution
  
• Rate Management
  
• Booking & Tendering
  
• Freight Settlement
  
• Fleet Management
  
• Integration with WMS/ERP/TMS systems
  
• Create and manage OTM data structures such as: Locations, Calendars, Network Routing, Agents, Parameter Sets, and Automation Rules.
  
• Develop and configure OTM workflows, screen sets, manager layouts, and custom reports (BI Publisher, SQL).
  
• Support and optimize OTM planning logic, constraints, and optimization parameters.
  

Business Analysis & Design

• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate transportation/logistics needs into OTM system solutions.
  
• Conduct functional design workshops, prepare BRDs, MD50/MD70 documents, configuration workbooks, and test scripts.
  
• Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements through best practices and OTM capabilities.
  

Integration & Technical Responsibilities

• Work with technical teams to design and support OTM integrations with ERP systems (Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP, etc.) using XML, APIs, BPEL, SOA, OCC, or other middleware.
  
• Troubleshoot OTM technical issues including agents, batch processes, integration messages, and performance tuning.
  

Testing & Deployment

• Lead SIT, UAT, regression testing, and cutover activities for OTM go-lives.
  
• Provide post-production support and continuous enhancements.
  

Project Management & Leadership

• Provide guidance to junior consultants, support teams, and client SMEs.
  
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (ERP, WMS, Finance, Logistics).
  
• Ensure project deliverables meet timelines, quality standards, and client expectations.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle OTM Cloud or On-Premise (GTM experience is a plus).
  
• Strong understanding of logistics, transportation planning, scheduling, and freight management processes.
  
• Expertise in OTM configuration, troubleshooting, and solution design.
  
• Experience with OTM integration frameworks (XML, OTM Web Services, REST APIs, SOA, OIC, MuleSoft, etc.).
  
• Strong knowledge of SQL, BI Publisher, and OTM reporting tools.
  
• Ability to create functional/technical documents and manage end-to-end solution delivery.
  
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
