Job Summary:

Oracle Applications DBA

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite (11i, R12, R12.2.x)
  
• Perform regular cloning of Oracle EBS environments for development, testing, and production
  
• Apply Oracle patches (CPU, PSU, one-off patches) and upgrades to EBS and database environments
  
• Administer and maintain Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c), including backup, recovery, and performance tuning
  
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot application/database-related issues
  
• Automate and document routine DBA tasks and processes
  
• Manage concurrent manager processes, workflows, and application tier components
  
• Work with cross-functional teams to support ERP deployments and upgrades
  
• Ensure security, integrity, and high availability of production systems
  
• Handle DR (Disaster Recovery) setup, testing, and documentation
  
• Provide on-call support and perform after-hours maintenance as needed
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Apps DBA
  
• Strong experience with Oracle EBS (11i/R12/R12.2.x)
  
• Solid understanding of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN
  
• Hands-on experience with WebLogic Server, Apache, and OC4J
  
• Experience with cloning, patching, and upgrading Oracle Apps environments
  
• Familiar with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other monitoring tools
  
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  
• Strong communication and documentation skills
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) DBA or Apps DBA
  
• Knowledge of cloud deployments (OCI, AWS, Azure) for Oracle Apps
  
• Exposure to Shell scripting, PL/SQL, and automation tools
  
• Experience with SOA Suite, Oracle Discoverer, or OBIEE is a plus
  

Work Environment:

• Collaborative and fast-paced IT operations team
  
• May require occasional weekend or off-hours support for planned maintenance
