Job Title: Sales Engineer Job Summary: The Sales Engineer acts as a key technical advisor and product advocate during the sales process. They work closely with the sales team and potential customers to understand technical requirements and demonstrate how company solutions meet client needs. This role bridges the gap between engineering and sales, ensuring both the technical and business aspects of solutions are clearly communicated. Key Responsibilities: Partner with sales representatives to identify customer needs and tailor technical solutions. Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients. Translate complex technical details into clear business benefits. Respond to requests for proposals (RFPs), technical questions, and product customization inquiries. Work with engineering, product development, and customer support teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Provide feedback to internal teams on product improvements based on customer interactions. Support post-sale implementation and ensure successful product integration and customer onboarding. Required Skills: Strong understanding of technical products and services (e.g., software, hardware, industrial equipment). Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to translate customer needs into workable solutions. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Sales acumen and understanding of sales processes. Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales documentation. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 2+ years of experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or related roles. Knowledge of industry-specific technologies or standards (e.g., SaaS, networking, automation). Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, demos, or trade shows.
