Optical Fitter

Job Description

- Take accurate measurements of the patient's facial features and optical parameters to ensure precise fitting of eyewear. - Adjust frames and lenses to achieve proper fit and comfort for the patient. - Instruct patients on how to properly use and care for their eyewear or contact lenses. - Ensure that all eyewear dispensed meets quality standards and accurately matches the prescribed specifications. - Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet the required standards for visual correction and durability. - Educate patients about the features and benefits of different types of lenses and frames. - Provide guidance on lens options, coatings, and other enhancements that may improve visual comfort and clarity. - Address patient concerns and questions regarding their eyewear or contact lenses. - Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, fittings, adjustments, and other relevant patient information. - Work closely with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal visual outcomes. - Communicate effectively with patients to ensure they understand their treatment plans and follow-up instructions - Experience in a similar role within an eye hospital or optical setting is advantageous. - Strong understanding of ophthalmic lenses, frames, and contact lenses.
