Job Description

Key Responsibilities of an Optical Assistant: Customer Service: Assisting patients with eyewear selection, including frames and lenses, understanding their needs and preferences. Preliminary Testing: Conducting basic eye tests like visual acuity and color vision. Optical Area Management: Maintaining an organized and well-stocked display area. Record Keeping: Managing patient records, processing insurance claims, and handling other administrative tasks. Post-Purchase Support: Providing adjustments and repairs to eyewear, and educating customers on proper eyewear care and lens options. Clinical Support: Assisting with vision therapy and other clinical tasks under the supervision of an optometrist. Communication: Communicating effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
