Strong understanding and experience with routing protocols such as OSPF,BGP, RIP, EIGRP etc etc. Must have Knowledge of the FRR open routingstack (formerly Quagga,Zebra) Knowledge of Integrating and optimizing FRR (Free Range Routing), BGP, OSPF, and other routing protocols with fast path data plane is huge plus. Strong familiarity and development expertisein other opensource Routing stacks like BIRD is a plus. In-depth knowledge of data-plane forwarding technologies including L2, L3, VXLAN, segment routing, and MPLS. Good understanding of Transport Networkdeployment using VRF's and MPLS. Certifications like CCNA, CCNP and CCIE is a plus. Good Knowledgeon Tunneling protocolslike GRE, VPN tunnels and MPLS based VPNv4 and VPNv6 tunnels. Familiarity with TCP/IP,UDP, ARP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, Firewall. Hands-on experience with Software DefinedNetworking and distributed systems. Familiarity with overlays and tunneling technologies. Excellent softwareengineering skills, with the abilityto write clean, testable, and maintainable code. Proven track record of success in a collaborative team environment, particularly in startup settings. Exceptional interpersonal skills, both verbaland written, with the abilityto effectively communicate complex technical concepts. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, designproposals and negotiate options at senior management levels Prior workingexperience on one or more Cloud ServiceProviders (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Alibaba cloud, etc.) is a plus. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Project Oversight: Manage all phases of data hall fit-out projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Team Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution. Budget & Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to maintain timelines and financial targets. Quality Assurance: Implement and uphold quality control processes, ensuring all work complies with industry standards, codes, and client specifications. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, providing regular updates to senior management and clients on project status, challenges, and achievements. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences. Project Management Expertise: Strong understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power distribution, HVAC systems, structured cabling, and space planning. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in project management within the data center or commercial construction industry. Industry Experience: Experience in managing data hall fit-out projects, including colocation facilities and enterprise data centers. Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred; additional certifications such as RCDD, BICSI DCDC, or CDCDP are advantageous. Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of all field operations, from site prep through closeout. Lead daily coordination of subcontractors with a heavy focus on MEP trades. Maintain and drive project schedule, flag delays, and implement recovery plans when needed. Conduct daily safety walks, enforce safety protocols, and lead weekly safety meetings. Oversee QA/QC in the field—ensure all installations meet specs, drawings, and code. Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems. Work with the PM team on RFIs, submittals, and field-related change orders. Manage jobsite logistics, deliveries, laydown areas, and equipment staging. Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field engineers. Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years as a Superintendent on MEP-intensive projects. Previous experience on mission-critical jobs like data centers, labs, healthcare, or high-security facilities is strongly preferred. Deep understanding of MEP systems, sequencing, and coordination challenges. Proven ability to lead field teams, manage schedules, and deliver high-quality results under pressure. Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, P6, etc.). OSHA 30 certification required. Strong communication skills and the ability to interface confidently with owners, consultants, and field crews.
