Ophthalmologist (Senior Consultant)

A leading hospital in Vijayawada is seeking an experienced Ophthalmologist capable of independently handling the department, managing OPD, and performing advanced eye procedures including cataract, glaucoma, and retina-related surgeries.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct OPD consultations and manage all general ophthalmology cases
• Perform cataract surgeries and manage postoperative care
• Evaluate and treat glaucoma and retina disorders
• Handle emergency ophthalmic cases as required
• Provide accurate diagnosis and treatment plans
• Coordinate with optical, nursing, and diagnostic teams
• Maintain proper clinical documentation and ensure high-quality patient care

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS with MS/DNB in Ophthalmology
• Minimum 5 years of clinical and surgical experience
• Proficiency in cataract surgery (phacoemulsification preferred)
• Experience in glaucoma and retina care (added advantage)
• Valid Medical Council Registration
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
