Operations Manager supply chain & stores

Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, including procurement, transportation, and warehousing.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain, reduce lead times, and improve overall efficiency.

Manage relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and transporters to ensure reliable and cost-effective services.

Monitor logistics performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

Lead and manage the stores team, ensuring all store operationsincluding receiving, inspection, storage, and dispatchrun smoothly and accurately.

Implement robust inventory management systems and practices to minimize stockouts, prevent overstocking, and reduce waste.

Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with the system records.

Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of materials to maintain quality.

Analyze current operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.

Implement lean principles and best practices to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

Ensure all store and supply chain activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate the supply chain and stores teams.

Set clear performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Promote a safe and positive work environment.

Work closely with departments such as production, sales, finance, and quality to align supply chain activities with business needs.

Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on supply chain performance, inventory levels, and operational initiatives.

Prepare and manage the operational budget for the supply chain and stores departments, ensuring all activities are cost-effective.
