Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Prepare the operation theatre before surgeries by ensuring cleanliness, sterility, and readiness
Arrange, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during surgical procedures
Monitor and maintain OT equipment such as lights, tables, suction machines, monitors, and anesthesia machines
Ensure proper handling, counting, and disposal of surgical instruments and materials
Follow infection control protocols and hospital safety standards
Transport patients to and from the operation theatre when required
Maintain records related to surgical procedures, instruments, and inventory
Assist in post-operative cleaning and preparation of the OT for subsequent surgeries
Report equipment malfunctions or safety issues immediately
