Job Description

We are looking for a trustworthy, responsible and experienced Fleet Operations Manager to independently manage the day-to-day operations of our two commercial taxi vehicles in Tambaram, Chennai.

The selected candidate will be responsible for driver recruitment, vehicle operations, payment collections, maintenance, financial tracking and overall fleet profitability. We are looking for someone with strong integrity, professional conduct and the ability to manage operations efficiently without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview and verify suitable commercial cab drivers.
• Check driver licences, badges, police verification and other required documents.
• Manage driver attendance, vehicle allocation, duty schedules and replacements.
• Ensure timely collection of all rental payments, trip earnings and other amounts due.
• Maintain daily income and expense records for each vehicle.
• Monitor vehicle kilometres, fuel expenses, servicing, repairs and insurance renewals.
• Coordinate with corporate clients, taxi operators and other business partners to secure profitable assignments.
• Ensure vehicles are used only for authorised business purposes.
• Track overdue payments and immediately report any delays or discrepancies.
• Submit daily operational updates and monthly profit-and-loss reports to the owner.
• Maintain complete records of drivers, payments, maintenance, fines, accidents and vehicle documents.
• Prevent unauthorised use, financial irregularities, document forgery and misuse of company property.
• Ensure compliance with applicable commercial vehicle and transport regulations.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, WhatsApp and digital payment records.
• Ability to recruit and manage drivers independently.
• Honest, disciplined, reliable and financially responsible.
• Willingness to undergo identity, employment-reference and other lawful background verification.
• Must provide genuine identity and address documents and verifiable professional references.
• Must sign a written employment agreement and confidentiality undertaking.

Salary and Benefits

• Fixed salary: ₹20,000 per month.
• Full-time position based in Tambaram, Chennai.

• Performance-based incentives may be considered after review of actual collections, vehicle utilisation and profitability.
