Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts executive cum Tax and Compliance Executive to join our client service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tax filings for individuals, firms, companies, and trusts, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. This role also involves filing of GST returns, TDS filings, bookkeeping in compliance with Accounting Standards (AS) and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), as well as MCA filings and corporate compliance requirements. The Candidate shall ensure that all tax-related filings and submissions are accurate, timely, and in adherence to relevant tax and regulatory frameworks. Additionally, the role requires close attention to accounting details, preparation of financial statements, and maintaining all statutory records. Job Overview: Tax Filings: • Income Tax Returns (ITR) Filing: Prepare and file income tax returns for individuals, firms, companies, and trusts in accordance with applicable tax laws. This includes tax calculations, documentation, and ensuring timely submission. • TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) Filing & payments: Preparation and filing of TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, 27Q, etc.), ensuring compliance with the Income Tax Act. Monthly calculations and payments, handle TDS reconciliations, maintain TDS records, and address discrepancies with tax authorities. • Conso File Generation for TDS: Prepare consolidated TDS returns and reports, ensuring accurate representation of TDS data across multiple entities and tax periods. GST Compliance: • GST Return Filing: Responsible for preparation and filing GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns (GSTR-9, GSTR-9C). Ensure compliance with the Goods and Services Tax Act, handle GST audits, and resolve issues related to input tax credits and GST liabilities. • GST Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations between GST returns and financial statements to ensure accurate tax calculations. Bookkeeping and Accounting: • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries, general ledger, and financial statements, in compliance with Accounting Standards (AS) and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS). Perform month-end and year-end closing activities. • Account Reconciliations: Ensure proper reconciliation of bank accounts, vendors, and clients. Ensure that all financial data is correctly reflected in the general ledger. • Financial Statements Preparation: Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements including balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. MCA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs) Compliances: • MCA Filings: Compliance with MCA-related filings including annual returns, financial statements, and other statutory filings required under the Companies Act. Ensure timely filing of forms such as AOC-4, MGT-7, and DIR-12 for appointments and changes in directorship. • ROC Filings: ROC compliance for board meetings, AGM notices, resolutions, and filings of the company’s annual financial reports. Tax Audit: • Tax Audit Compliance: Preparation and submission of tax audits for companies and firms, ensuring compliance with the Income Tax Act and timely submission to tax authorities Qualifications & Skills: • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (CA Inter/ Dropout will be a plus) • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in tax compliance, GST filing, TDS filing, and accounting in India. • Experience in handling tax audits, statutory audits and maintaining statutory compliance. • Familiarity with MCA filings, Income Tax filings, GST return processes, and other legal compliance aspects.
