Open Source Developer

You should have a minimum of 5 to 12 years of experience in the field. You will be based in Bengaluru and should have strong expertise in SONiC network operating system, which is an open-source platform developed by Microsoft for network operating systems. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C/C++ is required. A sound understanding of Linux internals and development environment is essential for this role. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining the SONiC NOS platform by implementing new features and enhancements. You should have hands-on experience with SONiC's control and data planes, and be familiar with working on the Switch Abstraction Interface (SAI). Testing and debugging will be a significant part of your role, involving the development and execution of test plans using Python, as well as troubleshooting issues across different SONiC platforms. In addition, you will be expected to participate in code reviews, engage in architecture discussions, and contribute to the SONiC open-source community. Collaboration with hardware engineers, test teams, and other cross-functional teams is crucial for the success of the projects. Prior experience with Cisco Cloud-Scale ASIC would be considered a strong advantage for this position.,
