The Mid Environment Artist is responsible for creating modular, scalable 3D environments including terrain, buildings, foliage, and set dressing. The role focuses on building efficient assets that support layout, lighting, and shot requirements across sequences. Requirements Duties: Environment Creation: Model, texture, and lookdev environment assets such as landscapes, architecture, and props Scene Assembly: Build environments for use in layout, lighting, or shot production Optimisation: Ensure assets are clean, instanced, and efficient for rendering and reuse Collaboration: Work with layout, lighting and comp to ensure environments support shot needs Reference Matching: Translate real-world scans or concept art into believable digital environments Scene Organisation: Maintain tidy and readable environments to follow studio standards Feedback: Respond constructively to notes and iterate as required Documentation: Share notes on workflows and support asset handoff clarity Deliver detailed, scalable environments ready for production use Support visual storytelling through composition, layout, and reusability Work independently on briefs while collaborating smoothly with other departments Skills, attributes and experience: Proficiency in Maya, Houdini, Substance, Mari, and ZBrush Strong understanding of modularity, instancing, and asset reuse Knowledge of real-world scale and environmental logic Good eye for composition, lighting, and form Experience of using on-set data such as photogrammetry and lidar Experience with procedural tools like Gaea or Houdini Familiarity with USD workflows or layout assembly Real-time experience is a plus Familiarity with camera projection, matte painting, and DMP workflows Scripting or tool development skills (Python, MEL, etc.) Excellent communicator, sharing information clearly and actively listening Strong time management, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and escalate delays in a timely manner Adaptable to change with the ability to stay focused and maintain a positive attitude Driven to make things better with flexibility to change course when needed Positive energy, focusing on results and having a positive impact on those around you Self awareness and an ability to resolve and diffuse problems treating others with kindness and respect Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work well with others 4-5 years in VFX or a related field

The Lead Lighting Artist is responsible for overseeing the lighting team's output across a show or sequence. This includes task planning, technical guidance, and hands-on shot work where needed. The Lead plays a key role in problem-solving and ensuring final renders meet both visual and technical expectations. Requirements Duties: Team Management: Guide day to day work of lighting team.Assign and review lighting tasks, ensuring quality and schedule alignment. Act as the go-to contact for lighting team progress and troubleshooting. Balancing hands-on work with oversight responsibilities Team mentorship: Foster a supportive, productive, and communicative team culture. Coaching and providing feedback and development opportunities Quality Control: Review renders to maintain consistency, mood, and technical soundness. Ensure final lighting renders are consistent, comp-ready, and creatively aligned Hero Work: Deliver or lookdev key shots to establish lighting benchmarks Cross-Department Liaison: Work with comp, FX, and layout to ensure proper Pipeline. Oversight: Support the move from SOPs to LOPs and align with rendering tools Problem Solving: Resolve render, scene, or data issues blocking final delivery. Identify and solve technical lighting challenges to keep shots moving Planning: Coordinate with production on task tracking and resource forecasting Feedback: Respond to notes from leads and supervisors quickly and effectively.
