We are seeking a ​contract BI Visualization Developer with extensive experience in building and enhancing data visualization solutions. This role requires expertise in Power BI, Tableau, UI/UX best practices, and a strong background in the retail, marketing industry. ​ *This is a 6 month offshore contract role with possibility for extension* In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the future of our clients data infrastructure while utilizing Power BI to create powerful data visualizations. You will be an essential part of our efforts to modernize data strategy, improve data accessibility, and drive innovation across the organization. Your ability to translate business needs into insightful reports will help empower stakeholders with the data they need to make informed decisions. ​R​ESPONSIBILITIES Develop and enhance Power BI and Tableau dashboards and reports with a focus on user experience, clarity, and performance Architect and implement Microsoft Fabric solutions to streamline data integration and transformation processes Create, Upgrade and refine the current Power BI reporting suite to represent key performance metrics effectively, ensuring the end user experience is optimized and the data available supports comprehensive analysis Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver visualizations that cater to various end-user personas Design and implement intuitive data models and ensure proper data flows are established to enable detailed insights Apply best practices in UI/UX design to create visually appealing and functional reports Ensure data consistency and integrity in reports, enabling detailed analysis and seamless data drilldowns Integrate Power BI​ with multiple data sources to ensure seamless data availability and optimized reporting workflows Use SQL, DAX, and other query languages to manage, manipulate, and retrieve data for visualization Create and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) standards Rapidly iterate to gather user feedback and deliver quick wins Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data, validating results by cross-referencing with data sources. Create and maintain documentation of reports, processes, and data models to ensure consistency and ease of maintenance Provide support and troubleshooting for Power BI reports and dashboards in production environments. Stay current on Power BI updates, features, and best practices, suggesting improvements to the existing reporting landscape Train and support end-users in using Power BI reports and dashboards ​QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of experience in designing and developing Power BI, Tableau reports and dashboard Strong proficiency in SQL, DAX, with a solid understanding of Python, R, and other tools Proficiency in, BI architecture, data modeling, ETL processes, security and data visualization principles Proficiency with cloud environments such as Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS Experienced in data cleansing and acquisition across various data sources, integrating APIs with BI tools and creating workable landing tables Working understanding of Agile methodologies and principles such as Scrum, LEAN, Kanban 5+ years of experience creating data models from scratch Strong understanding of Retail industry, with a preference for candidates with experience in sales, marketing and retail marketing Proficient in the use of relational databases and query design to organize data to address complex business questions Ability to transform large data sets into a digestible format Experience with multiple data sources, including Active Directory, APIs, and SQL databases Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Project Implementation, CX Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and draw conclusions from significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Familiarity with API calls, data limits, and throttling Strong communication skills to convey complex data insights to nontechnical stakeholders Certified Data Analyst/Developer Power BI, Tableau certifications ​ a bonus Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Co-Pilot is ​a bonus Show more Show less
