The Senior Silicon Validation Engineer will be responsible for validation and qualification of integrated circuits (silicon ICs) as per requirements driven by product definition. You will play a critical role in the Validation team, focusing on qualification of solid-state connectors involving industrial/mechanical design and high-speed electrical interfaces. Your tasks will include creating and editing test plans and ensuring timely execution of these plans. You will collaborate with a team of validation and characterization engineers to oversee product qualification. Leading the silicon validation efforts, you will be responsible for developing and modifying test plans based on product requirements. Working closely with the design team, you will participate in the validation and characterization of new products, generating test and characterization reports. Additionally, you will review or create schematics/layout for test platforms according to product specifications. Your responsibilities will also involve creating and managing measurement automation platforms, as well as utilizing your software development and debugging skills in Python, LabView, and other scripting languages. You should be proficient in developing test scripts to control test equipment for determining IC device characteristics and creating test equipment drivers in Python. Familiarity with various test equipment such as oscilloscopes, sampling scopes, BERTs, protocol analyzers, and spectrum analyzers is essential. Furthermore, you will be required to create and modify test plans based on system specifications related to signal integrity, RF, mechanical integrity, electrical properties, and requirements based on generic protocols. Your role will extend to executing the qualification of the product from a mass production perspective, especially in consumer electronic devices. To qualify for this position, you should hold a BSEE, with an MSEE being preferred. You should have at least 3 years of experience in product validation and characterization for consumer/enterprise applications. Experience in validating and characterizing high-speed protocols like USB3.0, PCIe 2/3, DisplayPort, HDMI, SATA/SAS, MIPI, GMSL, Ethernet, LPDDR4/5 is required.
