Job description Assess and assist patients for preterm labor, active labor, rupture of waters, pregnancy complications, or co-existing issues. Assist in maintaining pregnancy in antepartum mothers. Responsible for maintaining care standards in delivery room. Able to assess patients quickly, prioritize, and assist in minor procedures. Must be familiar with measurement of contractions before childbirth. Muse be experienced in coaching women through childbirth process. Experience with labor surgeries, especially cesarean sections. Knowledge of nursing care methods, procedures, and emergency care.
