Conduct health checks, capacity planning, and resource monitoring. High Availability & DR Design and manage SQL Server replication (transactional, merge, snapshot). Configure and support Always On Availability Groups. Implement read replicas and comprehensive disaster recovery plans. Cloud Database Management Manage AWS RDS for SQL Server, including optimization and migrations. Configure cloud backups, patching, and monitoring. Ensure security, performance, and cost-effective operations in cloud environments. Security & Compliance Apply security policies, access controls, and authentication. Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance. Manage encryption of data at rest and in transit. What Youll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. 8+ years of SQL Server DBA experience. Expertise in SQL Server (2016+), T-SQL, and PowerShell scripting. Proven experience with Ola Hallengren scripts, Always On, replication, and AWS RDS. Deep understanding of SQL internals, query execution plans, and performance optimization. Experience with tools like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, DMVs, and third-party tools (Redgate, SentryOne, etc.). Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working in fast-paced environments. Nice to Have: Microsoft SQL Server certifications (MCSA, MCSE, Azure).
