Job Summary We are looking for a skilled MEP CAD Engineer to create detailed MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) drawings and designs using CAD software. The ideal candidate will work closely with MEP designers and engineers to ensure accurate and efficient design documentation for construction projects. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection). Collaborate with MEP engineers to interpret design requirements and specifications. Prepare shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings as per project requirements. Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and client specifications. Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other disciplines to resolve design clashes. Maintain and update CAD libraries, templates, and drawing standards. Assist in performing quantity take-offs and material estimation. Work with BIM teams for integration of CAD drawings into BIM models. Participate in site visits to verify installations align with design drawings. Required Skills & Qualifications Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field. Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D); knowledge of Revit MEP, Navisworks, or BIM software is a plus. Strong understanding of MEP systems, layouts, and construction standards. Experience in MEP coordination and clash detection. Ability to interpret and draft technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Knowledge of MEP codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, etc.). Good communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in BIM modeling using Revit MEP. Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems. Project Managment Appropriately triages new requests within their time zone and communicates with stakeholders and internal teams as needed to ensure understanding and receipt of complete information to begin project work, and sets timing and/or follow-up expectations. Manages assigned projects to ensure flawless execution, quality control and timely release of deliverables to meet deadlines. This includes, but is not limited to, coordination and meeting with internal teams, assessment and communication of project requirements, file pick-up direction and folder set-up, reviewing proof edits and client feedback, and adhering to internal processes and direction.
