Accounts Officer 1. Team Supervision & Review Oversee the daily work of Accounts Executives. Review entries posted in systems & Reconciliation prepared. Ensure all ledgers are updated and reconciled on time. Provide guidance, training, and support to junior accounting staff. 2. Accounting & Reporting Ensure timely posting of all accounting transactions in ERP. Prepare and review monthly MIS reports including Profitability, WC calculations & ageing reports. Verify vendor/customer reconciliations prepared by the team. Monitor cash flow and highlight discrepancies to the Finance Manager. 3. Bank & Cash Management Review daily bank reconciliation statements. Authorize preparation of payments and ensure proper documentation. Monitor fund flows, cheque status, and bank charges. Prepare documents for LC discounting & follow up with bank for the same. Laise with Bank for daily banking transactions/ Payment processing. Support for preparing Documents & Reports for Banks 4. Statutory Compliance Ensure team adherence to GST, TDS, PF/ESI compliance requirements. Review monthly GST workings, TDS deductions, and statutory registers. Ensure all statutory returns are filled on or before due dates. Coordinate during audits and provide required data to auditors. 5. Internal Controls & Documentation Implement and maintain internal controls for approvals, documentation, and vouchers. Ensure proper filing of invoices, vouchers, statutory documents (soft & hard copies). Verify accuracy of inventory consumption entries and coordinate with stores/production. 6. Coordination & Support Liaise with procurement, production, sales, and HR for accounting data accuracy. Support finance manager in budgeting, cost control, and cash flow planning. Handle escalations from vendors or customers regarding accounts-related issues. 7. Process Improvement Identify gaps in accounting processes and suggest improvements. Assist in ERP implementation, module upgrades, and workflow standardisation.
