Job Title: Technical Project Manager Location: [Hybrid / Based in Delhi-NCR] Job Type: [Full-Time ] Department: IT / Technology Reports To: [CTO / Head of Engineering / PMO Lead] Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex IT projects across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will play a critical role in aligning teams, managing timelines, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery of high-impact technology initiatives. This role requires both technical acumen and exceptional communication skills to manage internal teams and engage with senior stakeholders effectively. Key Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and execute technology projects from initiation through delivery, following best practices in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies. Manage the full SDLC including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support. Proactively identify and remove blockers or impediments that could delay project progress. Drive collaboration across cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, DevOps, UX/UI, and business analysts. Prepare and deliver clear and concise project documentation such as project plans, timelines, risk logs, and status updates. Create and present progress reports and dashboards to internal stakeholders, executives, and clients. Facilitate regular sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and business objectives. Manage scope, time, cost, and risk to ensure project success. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Qualifications & SkillsProven experience (5+ years) in a Technical Project Manager or similar role within the IT or software development industry. Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall. Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate and resolve issues efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Confident presenter comfortable leading meetings and delivering executive-level presentations. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with remote and distributed teams. Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Trello, Asana, or similar. Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. PMP, Scrum Master (CSM), or other project management certifications are a plus. Previous hands-on experience as a developer, QA engineer, or systems analyst is a strong advantage. Key Responsibilities: AIX System Administration: Perform day-to-day administration of AIX servers, ensuring optimal performance and availability. Monitor system health, performance, and capacity to identify potential issues and resolve them proactively. Troubleshoot system and network issues and provide support in resolving problems related to application installation, OS, and network communication. Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and restoration activities as part of the organization’s continuity plans. Configure and manage AIX logical volumes, file systems, and disk management (using LVM). Patch management and software updates for AIX systems to maintain security and stability. Software Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain third-party software on AIX-based servers, ensuring compatibility with the OS and system architecture. Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of new applications into the existing infrastructure. Troubleshoot installation issues and ensure that all software packages are installed in compliance with organizational standards. Conduct detailed testing and validation of installed software to ensure functionality and performance standards are met. Prepare software installation guides and documentation for internal teams and users. System Automation and Scripting: Develop scripts for system automation, management, and monitoring using shell scripting, Perl, or Python to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency. Automate the deployment of software and patches across AIX environments using configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet. Security and Compliance: Ensure AIX system security by implementing and maintaining security patches, updates, and system hardening measures. Work closely with the security team to address vulnerabilities and implement security best practices across the AIX platform. Monitor and audit system logs to identify and respond to security incidents. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement system requirements for new projects. Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and IT teams on AIX-related issues and best practices. Assist with end-user support as necessary for software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Documentation and Reporting: Document configurations, procedures, and changes to ensure smooth operational continuity. Prepare and present reports on system performance, software installation progress, and any issues or incidents for management review. Requirements: Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 5 years of experience in AIX system administration, including experience with AIX 7.x or higher. Proven experience in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of third-party software on AIX systems. Technical Skills: Proficient in AIX administration including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting. Experience with AIX’s Logical Volume Manager (LVM), Virtualization, and Network Configuration. Strong scripting skills (e.g., shell scripting, Perl, Python) to automate tasks. Familiarity with tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for system automation and software deployment. Experience with file systems (JFS2, NFS, etc.), system monitoring tools, and performance tuning. Understanding of hardware infrastructure and storage technologies in relation to AIX environments. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues efficiently. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present technical information clearly. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Certifications (Preferred): AIX Administration Certification (IBM Certified System Administrator – AIX). Any relevant certifications in system administration or virtualization technologies.
