As a Senior Product Development Officer (Dairy) in the R&D function, your primary responsibilities will revolve around acquiring in-depth knowledge of dairy ingredients, including their selection criteria and critical properties. You should be well-versed in the impact of ingredients on mixing, processing, and product quality, along with an understanding of storage conditions, implications, and basic quality control measures. Your expertise in Long life (UHT) dairy/fruit/plant/fermented/acidified drinks is essential, and familiarity with fresh and fermented products will be an added advantage. Working closely with managers, you will be hands-on in developing recipes, experimenting, and showcasing lateral and critical thinking. Keeping an external outlook, you will monitor the market for new launches in the dairy segment and other related food sectors. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting competition products, defining analysis characteristics, collaborating with the lab for prototype development, and specifying packaging requirements. Active participation in consumer researches, interaction with marketing/CMI for consumer insights, and supporting superior are integral parts of your duties. You may lead product development initiatives independently or with cross-functional teams, encompassing new products, quality enhancements, nutritional improvements, and productivity optimizations to achieve company objectives. The ideal candidate should hold a graduation degree (mandatory) in Dairy/Food Technology, with a preference for post-graduation. Desired competencies include knowledge of dairy and food ingredients, beverage processes, formulations, food science, technology, storage stability, food product analysis, nutrition, and FSSAI regulations. With 5-7 years of experience in dairy product development, you are expected to bring valuable insights, creativity, and expertise to drive innovation and success in the field.,
